CHAMP provides parents, the school and local health  providers with a complete picture of our children’s health. Information from all children allows community healthcare providers to identify areas and plan programs to address children’s health needs. Every major healthcare provider in the San Luis Valley participates in CHAMP and it is free!  Early identification of potential problems provides children with the best chance to succeed in class and in life.  Many screenings are required by the State of Colorado.  By completing them during school registration, children will not have to be pulled out of class at a later date.  CHAMP connects families with health services if needed. Interested families are provided with help signing up for health insurance or finding a doctor or other healthcare provider.
